Accountant, lives in Witney with his wife and daughter, has always been interested in Military History, in particular World War II. James is a member of the Royal British Legion.
James’ aunts and uncles served in the forces during the Second World War. Two of his aunts were in Bletchley Park during the war and his grandfather owned the gardener’s house in the park and supplied Bletchley Park with meat and vegetables from his farm. James’ mother was a hospital sister during the blitz and nursed troops coming back from the D- Day beaches.
His father, Michael, served in the RAF but was posted to Burma; he served as an aircraft mechanical instructor in Lord Louis Mountbatten’s Squadron.
