I started painting seriously fairly late in life, after taking early retirement and doing a 2-year multi-disciplinary Adult Access course in Art & Design at Sheffield College.

I work in mixed media – acrylic, watercolour, collage, basically anything I can get my hands on! Much of my work to date has been still life, often semi abstract, but I am very much still exploring and looking to expand my range. I also like to make and work in sketchbooks. Whatever the subject or medium, my focus is on colour, form and texture, with the aim of expressing myself in work that is also pleasing and uplifting to others.
