Whirling Fluorescent Wind — feng ying po suo
A collaboration between me and my dear friend fengda2870, who deserves the largest share of credit for all the work done animating my flame, and their team.
Sadly I can’t speak Chinese so I hope my translation of their title is fine. Original title is 风荧婆娑 “feng ying po suo”.
The base flame is my fractal artwork “Not Here” which parameters I provided to Fengda.
Base Apophysis fractal flame parameters by Chiara Biancheri “Lindelokse”.
Animation made by fengda2870. Video clips by yunduan.

The British Expeditionary Force – Commotion (Official Music Video) from Erased Tapes on Vimeo.

In celebration of The B.E.F.‘s return with their brand new album ‘Chapter Two: Konstellation Neu’ out March 26 and their debut performance at The Great Escape Festival in May as part of the Erased Tapes 5th Anniversary Night, the band reveal the official music video for album opener ‘Commotion’. Singer Aid Burrows gives us access to a different side of his creative process by creating a playful and heartfelt 3D animation, centred around the waterfront.

‘The tactic we’ve used is the ‘more’ method. More sounds, more layers, more people. More face to face, more angles, more songs. If we’ve done our sums right, it should total more than the individual pieces’, explains Burrows.

Coincidentally, the upcoming Great Escape Festival will also take place beside-the-seaside in Brighton on England’s sun-drenched south coast and see The B.E.F. perform an Erased Tapes-curated label night alongside Nils Frahm and A Winged Victory For The Sullen, co-presented by Drowned In Sound.

“I love to experiment with colors and materials. I paint with acrylic or ink, create digital works using Painter and Studio Artist, make abstract sculptures or silly creatures using recycled materials or clay. And in 2009 I started making digital video animations. Please check them out on my website

A bookmark is stuck in a forgotten book that is one day knocked over by wind. It experiences its environment by surfing the pages that turn into ocean-waves, enjoying the ride of its life. As the book cover closes light reveals new challenges.

Shepard Fairey
Street artist Shepard Fairey pitched in to make Death Cab for Cutie’s “Home Is a Fire” video. “The power of street art is in its intrigue and authenticity , so it was crucial to actually put all the lyrics and images up on the streets,” Fairey wrote on his blog. “We wanted the viewer to experience the urban environment in a very real and intimate way that celebrates that one person’s wart is another’s beauty mark.“
